| Description | Historical Villa of the XVIIth century, about 1000 square meters, surrounded by a park of 11,000 square meters. 10 kilometers from Piacenza, placed under the protection of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities. A scenic gravel path leads to the Villa and the large park with old trees. Flowerbeds, small avenues in gravel, statues and decorations. The history of this courtly residence is linked firstly to the Giorgi Zanettini family, originally from the Oltrepo 'Pavese, of merchant extraction with numerous possessions in those territories and subsequently to the figure of Count Giovanni Gazzola, amateur architect and painter, who in 1682 married Angela Giorgi Zanettini, heir of the Villa. The residence, with its large secular park, the main building with a single sleeve and the annexed corps delimited by ancient dovecote towers, reflects the concept of the villa spread in the Farnesian duchy and in Piacenza. Particularly important is the grand staircase, which connects the portico and the loggia, which in turn overlook the Italian 'secret' garden with pools and a fish pond that occupies the back of the villa. The Villa is a historic seventeenth-century house inhabited by the owners. Immersed in the countryside, a few kilometers from Piacenza and Milan, it is ideal as a private residence, but also for weddings, private and corporate events, photographic and film sets. The large park with swimming pool, the porch and the loggia that overlook the internal garden, make it a unique location of its kind. |
